Waitaruke Parish
The Sacred Heart Parish of Waitaruke serves a large area from Kerikeri to Maunganui and many surrounding communities. Waitaruke has a rich history involving the establishment of the Church, School, Convent, Marae and Settlement over many years dating back to the first Catholic Missionaries in Aotearoa. 

Masses
8.00am each Sunday (except for 10:15 on the first Sunday of the Month)

Sacrament of Baptism
Baptism of children up to 5 years of age involves Parents meeting with either Sister, Parish Team Member or the Priest to learn about and prepare for the Baptism celebration. 
Children at Primary school age are normally prepared for the Sacraments through the St Joseph Primary School Programme or Parish Programme.
Teenagers and Adults have either a personal companion or small group study programme helping them to prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Confirmation and Holy Communion. 

Marriage
For those preparing to get married, preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage involves participating in a preparation programme and meeting with the Priest to help plan your wedding ceremony. It is recommended to plan at least 6 months in advance of your wedding day. 

Care of the Sick
For those who are sick, unwell, requiring a visit at home or simply need to ask for help, members of the Pastoral Care team are available to help

Tangi
Families farewelling their loved ones from the Sacred Heart Church or from surrounding Marae are able to make contact with either the Priest or Katekita / Kaiarahi 

Unveiling
Families in need of assistance for Whanau Unveilings are encouraged to make contact with either the Priest or Katekita / Kaiarahi.
